As the Founder and Creative Director of Black Bolt Media, Sierra is the driving force behind our commitment to authentic, diverse storytelling. Originally from Toronto, Sierra always had a lifelong passion for the entertainment industry, but it was in 2023 that she truly fell in love with the specific magic of filmmaking. That spark propelled her to graduate from the North Island College Film Industry program, where she refined her technical craft and narrative vision. Fuelled by a personal passion to see underrepresented cultures accurately and powerfully reflected on screen, she built this company to shake up the industry standard and carve out a much-needed space for voices that deserve to be heard.
At the helm of our daily operations, Sierra’s leadership perfectly blends a sharp, cinematic eye with a genuinely empathetic approach to collaboration, setting the tone for our radically honest workspace.
